2014 Building Community Awardees

University Park, PA--Pennsylvania State University’s Center on Rural Education and Communities (CREC), in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Association of Rural and Small Schools (PARSS), is proud to announce the winner for the ninth annual Building Community through Rural Education award. This award recognizes a rural school or rural school district in Pennsylvania that demonstrates innovative practices improving the educational experiences of their students while strengthening the bonds between the school and the community. The 2014 winner of the Building Community through Rural Education award was the Bradford Area School District. Two additional schools, Susquehanna County Career and Technical Center, and Moshannon Valley Junior-Senior High School, received honorable mentions.
